Arbitrum Blockchain

Definition

Arbitrum Blockchain is a scaling solution designed to make the Ethereum network faster and cheaper to use. It functions as an optimistic rollup, processing transactions off the main Ethereum chain and then posting compressed transaction data back to Ethereum. This method significantly reduces transaction costs and increases throughput compared to direct operations on the Ethereum mainnet. The system employs fraud proofs, allowing a challenge period for anyone to dispute an invalid state transition before it is finalized on Ethereum.
