Asset Inflation

Definition

Asset inflation describes the rise in value of assets over time. This phenomenon occurs when an excess of capital pursues a limited supply of investment opportunities, leading to upward price pressure on financial instruments and digital holdings. In the digital asset space, factors like increased liquidity, speculative interest, and constrained token supplies often contribute to significant price appreciation across various cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens. This trend can decouple asset values from their fundamental utility or underlying economic output.
