Code-Based SNARKs

Definition

Code-Based SNARKs are a category of Zero-Knowledge Succinct Non-Interactive Arguments of Knowledge that derive their security from the hardness of problems related to error-correcting codes. Unlike other SNARK constructions, they do not rely on number-theoretic assumptions like elliptic curve pairings. This approach offers a distinct cryptographic foundation for proof generation. They represent an alternative design choice in zero-knowledge cryptography.
