Decentralized Reliability

Definition

Decentralized reliability refers to the capacity of a distributed system, such as a blockchain network, to sustain continuous and correct operation despite the failure or malicious actions of individual parts. This reliability stems from the absence of a central control point and the distribution of trust across many participants. It ensures system uptime and data integrity without depending on a single entity. The network’s resilience against outages or attacks is a primary characteristic.
