Decentralized Reserves

Definition

Decentralized Reserves refer to pools of assets held and managed by a distributed network of participants or smart contracts, rather than by a single central authority. These reserves are typically established to back stablecoins, provide liquidity for decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, or serve as a treasury for decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). Their decentralized nature aims to enhance transparency, censorship resistance, and reduce single points of failure.
