Decentralized Rollup Scaling

Definition

Decentralized rollup scaling is a method to increase a blockchain’s transaction capacity by processing transactions off-chain and then posting a cryptographic proof of their validity to the main chain. Unlike centralized rollups, decentralized versions ensure that the operation of the rollup itself is managed by a distributed network of participants. This approach aims to maintain security and censorship resistance while significantly boosting throughput.
