Decentralized Sidechains

Definition

Decentralized sidechains are independent blockchains connected to a main chain, managed without central authority. These secondary chains operate with their own consensus mechanisms and validators, allowing assets to be transferred to and from the main chain. They aim to enhance scalability and add specialized functionalities without burdening the main network. Their decentralized nature means no single entity controls the sidechain’s operations or asset transfers.
