Decentralized Verification

Definition

Decentralized Verification is a process by which the validity of transactions or data is confirmed by multiple independent participants within a distributed network, rather than by a single trusted entity. This distributed consensus mechanism ensures that information is accurate and has not been tampered with, bolstering the security and trustworthiness of the system. In blockchain networks, this often involves consensus algorithms where a majority of nodes must agree on the state of the ledger.
