Domain Tokenization

Definition

Domain tokenization is the process of representing internet domain names as digital tokens on a blockchain. This method converts traditional web addresses into unique, verifiable digital assets, typically non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Tokenized domains grant owners immutable proof of ownership and allow for peer-to-peer transfer without reliance on centralized registrars. This enables new functionalities such as decentralized websites, verifiable identity, and integration into broader decentralized finance ecosystems.
