Embedded Systems

Definition

Embedded systems are specialized computer systems designed to perform dedicated functions within a larger mechanical or electronic system. These systems are typically optimized for specific tasks, often with real-time constraints and limited resources, and are found in various devices from consumer electronics to industrial machinery. While not inherently crypto-related, embedded systems can interact with blockchain technology by acting as secure hardware wallets, IoT devices reporting data to decentralized ledgers, or components in secure transaction verification. They bridge the physical world with digital record-keeping.
