Fully Decentralized

Definition

Fully Decentralized describes a system where control and decision-making power are distributed across numerous independent participants rather than residing with a central authority. In such a system, no single entity possesses the ability to unilaterally alter rules, censor transactions, or halt network operations. This distribution of power aims to enhance censorship resistance, security, and resilience against single points of failure. Achieving full decentralization involves distributing not only node operation but also protocol governance, development, and funding mechanisms across a broad community.
