Fund Mixing

Definition

Fund Mixing refers to the practice of combining various digital assets from multiple sources into a single transaction or a series of transactions, often to obscure the origin and destination of the funds. This technique is frequently employed to enhance transactional privacy on public blockchains. It can also be used for illicit purposes, such as money laundering, by making it difficult to trace the flow of assets. Specialized services, known as mixers or tumblers, facilitate this process.
