Global Internet Outage

Definition

A global internet outage describes a widespread disruption of internet connectivity across significant geographical regions or affecting major network infrastructure, rendering online services inaccessible. Such an event could be caused by natural disasters, cyberattacks on critical internet infrastructure, or large-scale technical failures. It severely impacts the ability to access and transact with digital assets. The decentralized nature of blockchain offers some resilience, but front-end access remains dependent.
