Infinite Mint Flaw

Definition

An infinite mint flaw is a critical error in a digital asset’s code allowing unlimited creation of new tokens. This is a severe vulnerability within a smart contract or token protocol that permits an unauthorized party or even the contract owner to generate an arbitrary and unbounded quantity of new tokens. This flaw fundamentally compromises the token’s scarcity and value proposition, leading to hyperinflation and severe market destabilization. It represents a catastrophic security failure for any digital asset.
