Intent-Based Swaps

Definition

Intent-based swaps are a new paradigm in decentralized exchanges where users express their desired outcome for a trade rather than specifying precise execution parameters. An underlying solver network or market maker then competes to fulfill this “intent” in the most optimal way, often across multiple liquidity sources. This approach aims to reduce user complexity, minimize slippage, and abstract away the technical details of routing orders. It represents an evolution from traditional automated market makers.
