Leaderless Agreement

Definition

Leaderless agreement refers to a type of consensus mechanism in distributed systems where no single node or designated leader is responsible for proposing or validating new blocks or transactions. Instead, all participating nodes contribute equally to the decision-making process through cryptographic proofs and voting mechanisms. This design promotes decentralization and censorship resistance by avoiding a single point of control or failure. Such protocols enhance network resilience and fairness.
