MEV Mitigation Protocol

Definition

An MEV mitigation protocol is a system designed to reduce or eliminate the ability of block producers to extract value by manipulating transaction order. Miner Extractable Value arises from the opportunity for validators to profit by reordering, censoring, or inserting transactions within a block they produce. Mitigation protocols employ various techniques, such as batch auctions, encrypted mempools, or distributed block building, to ensure fairer transaction ordering and distribute Miner Extractable Value more equitably among network participants. These mechanisms aim to preserve market integrity and prevent undue profit extraction.
