MEV Optimization

Definition

MEV Optimization refers to strategies designed to maximize Miner Extractable Value (MEV) or to mitigate its negative impacts within blockchain transaction ordering. MEV represents the profit that block producers can obtain by including, excluding, or reordering transactions within a block beyond standard block rewards and gas fees. Optimization strategies can involve sophisticated transaction bundling, arbitrage bots, or front-running techniques. Conversely, some approaches seek to reduce MEV’s negative consequences for regular users, such as increased transaction costs or unfair execution.
