Multi-Party Systems

Definition

Multi-party systems involve multiple independent entities interacting within a shared framework. In blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, these systems describe networks where several distinct participants or organizations collaborate to maintain a shared ledger, validate transactions, or govern a protocol. They often employ cryptographic techniques like multi-party computation (MPC) to enable secure collaboration without revealing individual inputs. Such architectures are fundamental for decentralized trust and distributed consensus.
