Multi-Signature Verification

Definition

Multi-signature verification, commonly known as multisig, is a security feature that requires more than one private key to authorize a cryptocurrency transaction or access a digital wallet. Instead of a single signature, a multisig setup specifies a minimum number of approvals from a predefined group of keys. This enhances security by distributing control and reducing the risk of a single point of failure or compromise. It is frequently employed for shared asset management, corporate accounts, and escrow services.
