Network Security Metrics

Definition

Network security metrics are quantifiable measures used to assess the strength and resilience of a blockchain or decentralized network against attacks and vulnerabilities. These metrics include hash rate for proof-of-work systems, validator count and staked capital for proof-of-stake systems, and the distribution of network nodes. They provide data-driven insights into the integrity and attack resistance of the underlying infrastructure. Consistent monitoring helps identify potential weaknesses.
