Non-Mediated Secrecy

Definition

Non-mediated secrecy pertains to the capacity to uphold privacy or confidentiality without relying on a trusted third party. In the context of digital assets, this means cryptographic methods directly ensure data remains hidden or verifiable without revealing its content. Zero-knowledge proofs are a prime illustration, allowing one party to demonstrate knowledge of a secret without disclosing the secret itself. It provides direct, cryptographic privacy.
