Nullifier Hash

Definition

A Nullifier Hash is a cryptographic output derived from a unique secret, used in privacy-preserving blockchain protocols to prevent double-spending without revealing the underlying transaction details. When a user spends a private asset, they generate a nullifier hash which is then published on the ledger. This hash signals that the asset has been spent, while keeping the original secret and transaction amounts concealed. It provides unlinkability and prevents replay attacks.
