Psychological Manipulation

Definition

Psychological manipulation involves employing tactics to influence a person’s perceptions, emotions, or decisions through deceptive or coercive means. In the digital asset space, this can manifest as social engineering attacks, misleading marketing, or coordinated FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) campaigns. The objective is to induce specific behaviors, such as panic selling or irrational investment. It exploits human biases.
