Realized Price Breach

Definition

A realized price breach occurs when the market price of a cryptocurrency falls below its “realized price,” which represents the average price at which all coins on the network last moved. This metric serves as a significant on-chain indicator, often signaling that the market is trading below the average cost basis of its investors. Such a breach typically indicates a period of significant investor losses and potential market capitulation. It can precede a market bottom.
