Reputation Governance

Definition

Reputation governance refers to systems where a participant’s influence or voting power is determined by their historical conduct and perceived trustworthiness within a decentralized network. Instead of solely relying on token holdings, this model incorporates metrics of past performance, contributions, or adherence to protocol rules to assign reputational scores. These scores then dictate the weight of their proposals or votes in collective decision-making processes. It aims to foster constructive participation and mitigate governance attacks.
