Rollup Scalability

Definition

Rollup scalability refers to the capacity of layer-2 scaling solutions, known as rollups, to significantly increase the transaction throughput of a blockchain network. These solutions process transactions off-chain and then bundle them into a single proof submitted to the main chain. This method substantially reduces the load on the base layer, allowing for many more operations per second. It is a key approach to enhancing network efficiency.
