Secure Ledger

Definition

A secure ledger is a system for recording transactions in a tamper-proof and immutable manner. In blockchain technology, this is achieved through cryptographic principles and distributed consensus mechanisms, where records are linked in a chain and verified by multiple network participants. Once a transaction is added to the ledger, it becomes exceptionally difficult to alter or remove, ensuring data integrity. This design provides a high degree of trust and transparency without requiring a central authority.
