Spot CVD

Definition

Spot CVD, or Cumulative Volume Delta for spot markets, is a technical indicator that measures the cumulative difference between buying and selling pressure based on executed trades. It tracks the net volume traded at the ask price (buyer-initiated trades) versus the bid price (seller-initiated trades). A rising Spot CVD indicates strong buying pressure, while a falling CVD suggests dominant selling pressure. It quantifies directional volume.
