Static Corruptions

Definition

Static corruptions refer to data errors or inconsistencies that are fixed or unchanging within a system, rather than being dynamic or evolving. In blockchain contexts, this could signify an immutable record containing incorrect or maliciously altered data from its initial recording. These types of corruptions are particularly problematic because they are permanently recorded and cannot be readily corrected without substantial protocol modifications. They compromise the integrity of the historical ledger.
