TEEs

Definition

TEEs, or Trusted Execution Environments, are secure areas within a processor that isolate code and data from the rest of the system. They provide a hardware-based root of trust, ensuring that sensitive operations remain confidential and tamper-proof, even if the main operating system is compromised. In the context of digital assets, TEEs can be utilized to protect private keys, execute sensitive smart contract logic, or ensure the privacy of computations. They offer an additional layer of security for critical operations.
