Token Liquidity Pool

Definition

A token liquidity pool is a collection of two or more cryptocurrency tokens locked in a smart contract, facilitating decentralized trading and lending on automated market maker (AMM) platforms. These pools provide the necessary capital for users to swap tokens instantly without needing a traditional buyer and seller match. Liquidity providers contribute assets to these pools, earning fees from trades and often additional rewards. They are fundamental to the functioning of decentralized exchanges.
