Tokenized Asset Lifecycle

Definition

The tokenized asset lifecycle describes the entire journey of a real-world or digital asset once it has been represented as a token on a blockchain. This includes its initial issuance or minting, subsequent trading and transfer, utilization in various decentralized finance applications, and eventual redemption or destruction. Each stage is governed by smart contracts and recorded on the distributed ledger, providing transparency and immutability. It covers the asset’s existence from creation to cessation.
