Trading Bots

Definition

Trading bots are automated software programs that execute buy and sell orders in financial markets based on programmed rules. These computational agents operate on cryptocurrency exchanges, monitoring market conditions and executing trades according to predefined algorithms and parameters. They can react to price changes, volume fluctuations, and other market indicators far faster than human traders. Common strategies include arbitrage, market making, and trend following, all aimed at generating profits or managing risk automatically. Trading bots eliminate emotional biases from decision-making, allowing for consistent execution of trading plans.
