Trust-Minimized Bridge

Definition

A trust-minimized bridge is a technology that allows assets to move between different blockchains with very little reliance on intermediaries. This type of cross-chain communication protocol facilitates the transfer of digital assets and data between distinct blockchain networks while significantly reducing the need for third-party custodians or validators. It achieves this by employing cryptographic proofs, zero-knowledge technologies, or decentralized validator sets to verify transactions on the destination chain. The design prioritizes security and censorship resistance over reliance on external trust.
