Trustless System

Definition

A trustless system is a decentralized environment where participants do not need to rely on a central authority or intermediary to verify transactions or maintain the system’s integrity. Instead, security and validity are ensured through cryptographic proofs, consensus mechanisms, and transparent, immutable ledgers. This architecture minimizes the need for interpersonal trust, as the system’s rules and operations are enforced by code. It represents a fundamental shift from traditional centralized models.
