Validator Consensus

Definition

Validator consensus describes the process by which a network of validators agrees on the validity of transactions and the state of the blockchain. This agreement mechanism is fundamental to maintaining the integrity and security of distributed ledger systems. Validators, who are participants responsible for verifying transactions and creating new blocks, must reach a consensus to ensure that all nodes operate with a shared, accurate record of the ledger. Effective consensus mechanisms prevent double-spending and ensure the immutability of the blockchain.
