Web3 Application Layer

Definition

The Web3 application layer constitutes the topmost tier of the decentralized internet stack, comprising user-facing applications built on blockchain and other distributed technologies. These applications, often called dApps, leverage smart contracts for logic and decentralized storage for data. They aim to offer enhanced user control, censorship resistance, and transparent operations. This layer represents the direct interface through which users interact with the Web3 ecosystem.
